Newport Chamber Members to Tee Off Monday at Montaup Country Club
Newport County Chamber of Commerce annual golf tournament will be held Monday, June 27, at the Montaup Country Club.
Local businesses have the opportunity to both network and to have fun during the 's golf tournament to be held on Monday, June 27, at the .
An annual event, the golf tournament is being sponsored by companies such as , Cox Business Services, SEABIZ and McGrath's Clambakes to name a few. The sponsors will fund a variety of prizes for competitions such as longest drive, closest to the pin and best team overall.
The golf tournament is one of the s "budget items as a small business," said Carol Mutty of the chamber's Membership and Events Management Department.

Mutty estimates that up to 100 golfers will attend this year's event.
Though it is a bit late to register a golf team, the event is also currently open to spectators, who may attend the 6 p.m. dinner for a $25 fee.

The annual golf tournament will begin at 11:45 a.m. and go until 6:45 p.m. The Montaup Country Club is located at 500 Anthony Road, Portsmouth.
