Middletown Fire Station Project Kicks Off This Week

A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m.

The renovations to the Middletown Fire Station kick-off this week with a groundbreaking ceremony that will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m at the Middletown Fire Department. In December, Middletown Town Council approved a bid of $6.5 million submitted by the Iron Construction Group.

The ceremony represents the beginning of a 15 month long project that will include constructing an addition to the current fire station and the upgrade of existing facilities. This project will also include renovating the former police station for use by the Middletown Department of Public Works.

The ceremony is open to the public. Parking is available at 9 Berkeley Avenue (behind the Middletown Fire Station).
