Cocktails for a Cause

Support the Alzheimer's Association RI Chapter and join Cappy's Hillside Cafe on Friday, Sept. 6th from 5 to 8 p.m for Cocktails for a Cause. Cappy's Hillside Cafe is at 8 Memorial Blvd. There is no cover charge but donations are welcome. RSVP to Anna Zambrano at 401-849-5222. See Patch event here.


Baby Steps Fundraiser

Appetizers, wine and beer will be available.  Tickets are only $35 per person.  The rain date will be Friday, September 27, but we’re hoping for the best! For ticket information, email Baby Steps president Linda Finn at lindaf6@cox.net.

Meet the Author

Author Charles Graeber comes to Newport Public Library at 2 p.m. on Sept. 7th to discuss his book The Good Nurse about Charles Cullen a nurse who has been implicated in the deaths of as many as 300 patients in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. See the Patch event here.

Shop For a Cause

Enjoy a beautiful Fall shopping, socializing and supporting the James L. Maher Center! From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 preview the Fall collection at J.McLaughlin. 15% off all proceeds from 10am - 3pm will be donated directly to the James L. Last Chance For NIMFest 2013

Abbey Rhode, the popular Beatles band, will close the NIMFest 2013 season with a gazebo concert on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 3 - 6 p.m.  Bring a blanket or chair, and enjoy the harbor view. See the Patch event here.
