James L. Maher Center is a nonprofit agency that employs nearly 300 people from Middletown and the surrounding communities who have physical and developmental disabilities. A collection of small businesses, Maher Industries was established to generate income to help offset the costs of our educational and residential programs for its employees. Maher Industries also provides opportunities for employment, at Beaded Star Designs, Maher Garden Center, Blossom, Safe &  Secure Shredding, Seaside Eatery, Northeast Linen and Laundry Services, and Aquidneck Workshop.
