Newport National Golf Course

Flag as Inappropriate

Newport National was designed by architect Arthur Hills and spans almost 200 acres. The course is reminiscent of some of Ireland's best links courses. It is only minutes from downtown Newport, and a shuttle service is available to and from Hotels and Inns. Golf Week Magazine chose it as one of the Top 20 New Courses in America when it opened in 2002. Lessons are given by golf pro Andrew Farrea, who is a Portsmouth native. The Golf Shop is well-stocked with clothing and golf accessories. Corporate and charitable events are welcome, and dinners are served in the large tents with catering done by Blue Rocks Catering Co. There are clinics in the summer for juniors.
