The Beach Commission
The Middletown Beach Commission is responsible for evaluating all beach improvements proposed to the town council, including capital improvement, budget, parking, and user fee recommendations. It also advises and submits reports to the council on its findings. The beach commission consists of seven members, who serve a term of two years. It holds an open meeting on the second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. in the Town Hall located at 350 East Main Rd.

Tree Commission
The Middletown Tree Commission is responsible for promoting the conservation, planting, health and growth of trees in the town. It also administers the Tree Preservation Ordinance and develops a five-year planting program. The commission consists of nine members, appointed for three-year staggered terms. It meets on the last Wednesday of each month at the town hall.

Conservation Commission

The Middletown Planning Board is responsible for studying and preparing plans for the growth and development of the town. Juvenile Hearing Board
The Juvenile Hearing Board is authorized to listen to all cases referred to it by the Juvenile Division of the Police Department, the Chief of Police, or his designee and to enforce and order sanctions other than imprisonment. This board does not hold any public meeting.

Personnel Board
The Personnel Board looks after the administrative duties of the town council, which includes personnel policies regarding vacation, sick leave, overtime pay, and examining payrolls at least twice a year. It also needs to formulate and recommend any adoptions or modifications to be taken place within the town council. It consists of three members, appointed by the town council to serve a term of three years. It holds its meeting as and when required at the Town Hall based at 350 East Main Rd.

Tax Assessment Review Board
The Tax Assessment Review Board is responsible for receiving and considering the appeals from property owners on issues related to amounts of assessments as determined by the Tax Assessor. Zoning Board of Review
The Zoning Board of Review is an elected board of eight members who vote on whether variances, or waivers to town zoning regulations should be granted. There are five regular members and, three alternate members who vote when a regular member is absent. The board holds its meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 7p.m. at the Town Hall based at 350 East Main Rd.
