Woman Arrested Following Tupperware Dispute

The Middletown Police Department reported one arrest on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011.

Middletown police charged a local resident with assault following a domestic dispute that reportedly arose between a divorcing couple over a Tupperware container. Police arrested Wendy Marie Khorshed, 33, of 17 Jean Terrace, Middletown on Monday around 6:19 p.m. on a charge of domestic assault and battery. According to the arrest report, police responded to a reported disturbance at the address and determined that Khorshed had been involved in a argument with her estranged husband related to property they were dividing in their pending divorce. Khorshed allegedly tried to force her way into her husband’s bedroom to retrieve a Tupperware cake container she claimed was hers and became physical in the process with pushing and thumb-twisting…

One Week Later, Businesses Adjusting as Tuesday Morning Closeouts Fire Cleanup Continues

Businesses that sustained heavy smoke and water damage from the Tuesday Morning Closeouts fire one week ago hope to reopen next week.

One week later, three local businesses at the West Main Road shopping plaza remain closed as cleanup crews continue to mitigate fire, smoke, and water damage sustained from the Jan. 5 blaze allegedly set by an arsonist at Tuesday Morning Closeouts. Cappuccino's Bakery & Cafe and Sedona Fitness & Spa, the closest neighbors to Tuesday Morning, will likely continue to undergo remediation and reconstruction into next week. That's according to Eric Anderson, who runs the Smithfield-based company Enviro-Clean, which is managing the cleanup for Tuesday Morning and the other two businesses. Police Report One Weekend DUI Arrest

The Middletown Police Department reported one arrest during the weekend from Friday, Oct. 15 to early Monday morning, Oct. 18, 2010.

Middletown police reported one arrest during the weekend of Friday, Oct. 15 to Monday Oct. 18, 2010, for an alleged second offense drunk driving charge. Theresa M. Ross, 50, of 138 Bayview Ave., Apt. # 1, Bristol, was arrested around 1:25 a.m. Monday morning after police stopped her 2002 Ford Explorer SUV while traveling northbound on West Main Road near Coddington Highway. According to the arrest report, police on patrol stopped the SUV after observing it drift across the white fog line and into the adjacent northbound lane "on several occasions." After questioning and conducting a field sobriety test, police arrested and charged her with allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol, reportedly her second offense and a misdemeanor. …
