Middletown High School Boys Basketball Team Beats Burrillville, 64-61
Middletown was down big at the half, but clutch shooting helped the Islanders defeat the Burrillville Broncos at home on Thursday night.
The Burrillville Broncos came to Middletown on Thursday to take on the Islanders in a varsity boys basketball game that saw the Broncos lead for the majority of the first half. The Middletown High School Islanders jumped out to an early lead, 6-4, with ten minutes to play in the first half. Burrillville then turned on the jets and strung together two runs of 7-0 and 9-0, sandwiched between a Middletown 3-pointer. The score was 20-9 in favor of the Broncos with 4:32 to go in the half.
