The family of the late Terry Chiodo released the following statement.
The family of the late Terry Chiodo, a Portsmouth woman who was fatally stabbed early Wednesday morning shortly after boarding a RIPTA bus, released the following statement. The victim's estranged husband, Christopher James, has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death. The Texas family of Terry Chiodo wish to thank the heroes who grabbed the animal who murdered our family; on the bus, who risked their lives to apprehend that murderer. You will be hailed in Texas and by us as heroes; who do not stand by and witness assaults on women in public, and in private.
