Child & Family Services has launched a new half-hour program on NCTV-Channel 18 to help raise public awareness about the agency's services and upcoming events. "Caring for our Community" began airing in early October and will continue to air at the beginning of each month, according to an announcement from Child & Family Services. The show spotlights services available to Newport County residents through Child & Family and also discusses upcoming community events. Steve Hyder, a Newport Resident and the official voice of the Pawtucket Red Sox, is serving as a volunteer host.
