It’s Family Night at Easton’s Beach! Catch Abbey Rhode for a free beach concert. A Bluegrass Invitation Band plays at Sweet Berry Farm tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. Hitting the beach? Find out today’s surf conditions.  The Newport Music Festival continues today with three different concerts, beginning with Morning Mozart at the Elms. On this day in 1799, a French soldier discovered the Rosetta Stone, a rock slab inscribed with ancient writings that enabled scholars to decipher ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics for the first time in about 2,000 years.

Farm's Free Summer Concerts End Season on High Note

Sweet Berry Farm's 2010 free weekly concert series has been one of the hottest tickets in town while attracting new business from beyond the immediate community and customer base.

If you haven't been to a Tuesday night concert at Sweet Berry Farm this summer, you've got one chance left before missing out on one of the best tickets in town, which also happens to be free of charge. Weather permitting, the final show of the summer season is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 31 at 5:30 pm on the farm lawn featuring the Honky-Tonk Knights' blend of rockabilly blues, paired with an optional specially prepared Oktoberfest menu. Joannah Daley of Newport has attended the farm's concerts all summer.
