Middletown Customers Impacted by Cox Widespread Email Outage

Cox Communication customers in Middletown report they are impacted by the large email outage

Cox Communications has reported outages with their email system that impact customers in the Midwest and East Coast regions.  Middletown customers report they have been impacted as part of the widespread issue. On the Middletown Patch Facebook page, Katie Waite said she has issues since Friday night.  On Twitter, Kate Burt ‏ (@KateKhronicles) called the outage "exasperating"  She said a similar situation happened a few years ago and after her account was restored, she found all her emails and folders were lost.  The company said it is unable to provide an estimated time for recovery, but will work around the clock until service is restored. Middletown High School Super Bowl VIP Rico McCray Up for Cox RI Scholar-Athlete Award

Cox RI Sports Awards has opened the public voting period for 2010 Fall Scholar-Athletes.

Of the dozens of nominees in the running for the Cox Rhode Island Sports Awards, only one Middletown High School athlete stands among them—Super Bowl VIP running back Rico McCray. The nominees were announced Jan. 11 for the 2010 Fall Scholar-Athlete nominees, with winners to be revealed at the fifth annual Cox Rhode Island Sports Awards presented by the RI National Guard in June at the Rhode Island Convention Center. In the mean time, students, fans, coaches, parents, teammates, teachers and others may vote for their favorite scholar-athlete from the 2010 fall season by clicking here.
