Around 2:05 a.m., police pulled over 36 year-old Rebecca Harris of 68 Jean St. after she allegedly swerved across the road and almost hit the curb, said police. DUI Arrests Mark Godfrey, 46, of 9 Haven St., Milford, Mass. was arrested on Sunday around 5:55 p.m. on a DUI charge after he was repordely involved in an accident on the intersection of Aquidneck Avenue and East Main Road. He said he accidentally rear ended the vehicle in front of him, said police. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly told police Godfrey was “hammered” and confrontational. Godfrey allegedly told police he had consumed six beers at the Atlantic Beach Club earlier that day. Godrey was also cited with refusal to submit to a chemical test. Driving Under the Influence Sven Myberg, 33, of Needham, Mass., was arrested on Thursday around 1:39 a.m. on charges of driving under the influence. Police stopped Myberg’s Jeep Wrangler by Middletown Self Storage on Green End Ave. after it reportedly swerved over the double yellow line three times and over the white fog line three times, said police. When police asked Myberg how much he had to drink, he allegedly responded “a lot,” said police. After he failed the field sobriety tests, police said he was taken into custody without incident. Mahmoud Abdallah, 77, of 107 Lexington St was arrested yesterday evening around 10:30 p.m. on a domestic assault and a second degree felony child abuse charge. Police said a 48 year-old Middletown woman went into the Middletown Police Station last night around 9:35 p.m. to report that her 16 year-old daughter had been missing since the day before. The Middletown Police called the teenager and told her to come to the station to meet with her mother, said police. At the station, the teen said there was an altercation at their home on Sunday that involved her mother, brother and father, said police. The following arrests are based solely on the testimony of the Middletown Police Department: Sand Dune Lurker Derek Parker-Daily, 21, of 27 Chapel St. was arrested on Monday around 3:00 in the morning after police received a complaint that a male was lurking in the sand dunes at Second Beach and was scaring people. Police said they stopped Parker-Daily on his bicycle that had a trailer with a surfboard and other items. Along his belongings was an open bottle of Captain Morgan, a bottle of Jack Daniels whiskey, bongs and marijuana. Parker-Daily was charged with consumption of alcohol of beach and possession of marijuana. Man Allegedly Harassed Customers Waiting for Pizza Alexander Murray, 50, of Deerfield Beach, Fla., was arrested last night around 9:00 after he allegedly bothered customers and staff at Aquidneck Pizza on Aquidneck Avenue. Murray appeared to be heavily intoxicated, said police. He allegedly tried to push a female customer out of the way, swore at her and harassed her. When an employee offered to call him a taxi, Murray reportedly answered, “I’ll fix your jaw and I don’t want to go down that road with you.” When he was arrested, he was uncooperative, swore and threatened the officers, said police. Man Calls Police After Being Thrown Out of Bar Andrew Licha, 24, of 71 East Ter., Portsmouth was arrested on Saturday around 5:05 p.m. on disorderly conduct charges after he reportedly dialed 911 with the complaint that customers threw him out of the Atlantic Beach Club. An officer on detail at the bar said he escorted Licha outside after he was involved with a fight with other customers. He allegedly cursed and struggled until the officer lifted Licha off the ground to carry him outside. When officers arrived in response to the 911 call, Police said Licha ran toward the officer and demanded that he “did his job,” and escort him back into the bar and arrest the people who had thrown him out. Matthew Bruce, 27, of 345 Coffin Ave, New Bedford, was arrested on Saturday, July 15, around 5:18 p.m. on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police said Matthew was extremely intoxicated outside of the Atlantic Beach Club, cursed at officers and ran off towards Purgatory Road. According to the reports, Bruce ran in front of a Jeep Wrangler that was leaving the Atlantic Beach Club parking lot and bounced off the hood. Bruce allegedly got up and tried to run across the road. Police said they chased him down, brought him to the ground and brought him into custody. Theodore Amado, 46, of 41 Donna Dr., Portsmouth was arrested on Tuesday, July 3 at 2:06 p.m. on a second offense felony DUI charge. Police said they pursued Amado on Coddingtown Hwy. because he was driving erratically and speeding. According to the police report, Amado refused to stop, despite the officer’s use of siren and horn, until he continued over the Newport town line. The officer said he smelled alcohol on Amado’s breath and when asked if he had anything to drink, Amado responded that he had four or five drinks. Police reported there was an empty bottle of alcohol on the passenger seat. Amado failed the field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Shana Brady of Middletown was arrested on Monday evening around 11:00 p.m. after police were dispatched for a well being check. According to Police, when Brady opened the door she said that she did not want to harm herself. Police said Brady became enraged when they told her a rescue would transport her to Newport Hospital. She allegedly threw a cell phone which shattered. Police said she eventually agreed to go to the hospital if the police could arrange for a ride home when she was discharged. Once in the rescue, Brady allegedly kicked an officer in his stomach. Police said once at the hospital, she had to be restrained to the bed.
