Approaching Nor'Easter, NWS Predicts Power Outages

There is a possibility of sustained winds that could reach about 48 mph

The National Weather Service reports that the approaching Nor'Easter will probably bring heavy rain, wet snow and gusty winds to the area. Power outages are likely, said the NWS. There is a high wind warning now in effect that is expected to last until 1:00 a.m. with a possibility of sustained winds that could reach about 48 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. A coastal flood advisory also is in effect during the high tide cycle of the late morning to mid afternoon. "A few shore roads may become flooded for a short time. Some further beach erosion is also possible," reports the service. Make sure you are signed up for breaking news alerts to stay current on any outages.
