RIEMA Warns of Major Nor’easter

RIEMA reported they are preparing for the possibility of a major Nor’easter that could begin this Friday lasting into Saturday morning.

  At 3 p.m. this afternoon, the Rhode Island Emergency Management (RIEMA) reported they are preparing for the possibility of a major Nor’easter that could begin this Friday lasting into Saturday morning. Stay current on the storm: sign up for our breaking news emails Early predictions are for snow to begin Friday afternoon and lasting until Saturday morning. There may be as much as 10-18 inches of snow in some Rhode Island areas including south coast region. In addition, high winds are expected beginning Friday night, increasing with gust to 50-60 along the coast. There is only minor coastal flooding that is expected at this time. Related Stories
