About Doug
Doug Owens is the owner and photographer for Doug Owens Photography specializing in portrait and wedding photography in New England. His passions in life include his family, photography and sports. Born and raised on Aquidneck Island, Doug left after graduating from Portsmouth High to proudly serve in the United States Marine Corps. After settling in Northeast Florida for 10 years, he decided it was time to come back home to RI to raise his family. He has recently had one of his photographs published nationally on the cover of Sgt. Grit, a Marine Corps publication. When time allows, Doug also donates his time and photography talents to non-profit organizations such as Bridging the Gap of EA/TEF and Boston Children's Hospital, helping the children and families born with birth defects.
Doug looks forward to being part of the Patch team and is excited to share his photography and articles with the local community!
