My connection to Newport came from keeping a sailboat in Newport for years while living in the Boston area. My first career was in merchandising as an executive in the retail world with the some of the best....Macy's, Jordan Marsh, Talbots and Brookstone.   That career allowed me to prepare for the challenge & privilege of owning/operating the Jane Pickens Theater & Event Center as a second career. I live in South Dartmouth, Ma with my husband & son and commute to Newport daily.
