ReplyAll this talk about morality and religion is misplaced. The debate over gay marriage has nothing to do with either. Marriage in the eyes of the government - which is all that is in question here - is nothing more than a legal contract between two adults. It has no bearing on religion, morality or love. It is a business agreement - no more, no less. Just as the government has no place preventing two business partners - regardless of their gender - from signing a contract to define their corporate relationship, it has no place preventing two life partners - regardless of their gender - from doing the same.

In case the article wasn't clear, the bill doesn't actually change marriage in any way, so there's no threat to anyone. It just opens it up to more people.
