Bobby, I am vehemently opposed to this. We totally disagree, and for me this is a core opinion that we obviously both will side differently on. Enough said on this. Thanks.

Seriously Bobby, this is just B.S. and Illegal Border Crossing
Any immigrant who enters or attempts to enter the U.S. at any place or time not designated by immigration officers, who eludes inspection by officers, who enters or attempts to enter by using false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of material facts, violates U.S. law. A first offense initiates a fine of $50 to $250 and up to 6 months in prison. Subsequent violations are fined between $100 and $500 and carry a prison term up to two years. Other criminal or civil penalties may also be imposed.
Transporting Illegal Immigrants
It is against federal law to transport an illegal alien into the U.S. regardless of whether the transporter is an individual, a commercial company or a consignee of any vessel or aircraft. Each person transported must have a valid passport and an unexpired visa.

ReplyJuan Garcia, the Spokesperson for ILLEGALS/non-immigrants/non-residents recently tried saying the same crap, that "It's a Basic Right", hence the need to give Drivers Licenses to them. It's a privilege, not a Basic Right.

On the article Parents Uneasy after Lockdown at Bain

Leslie, do you have a child? Do you have one in the School System?
I agree that it is NOT the protocol for the Schools to tell the parents as they are going through it at that moment - it's an absurd request, HOWEVER, the Cranston Police have a notification system in place in which they use for Sex Offender notification and it can be to specific areas/wards. A parent said she tried calling the school after and they wouldn't tell her any information and suggested she call the police. Clearly, the police are being put as the authority on what's said. Therefore, I suggest that when the Police are notified of the event, wouldn't it be easy to have them have all the Principals list serve email and/or telephone list and send a home message?
Leslie, I don't think people are disputing the schools not being overly cautious, they are disputing the maddness to hearing through Patch or the media versus having being called. But this is the reality if we really think about it. There are perfect examples of all the school shootings where these parents weren't notified during the moments. People found out through the news. I don't really see a way around it, other than MAYBE the police notification system.

ReplyAfter having done the Cranston Bike path to Coventry several times during the summer....I go 28 miles without a helmet. If my children go with me I make them because the law says they need to. I do think we need to pass laws mandating that children wear them when you see stats 80+% saying that is the number one head injury reason. Thank you for the reminder - they have been omitting them with the scooter and skate board....now they will go back on.
Nice to hear you go to the schools Mike. I wonder what volunteering some of the whiners give back to the community or fellow man. Oh yeah, you have an ulterior motive. It's unfortunate that the struggling resident isn't in a position to volunteer and do such advocacy because of money. Then those that are fortunate, are few that actually advocate and volunteer. I would suggest those that you not slam the person that takes the time out of their day to extend an free benefit to our children and look at the gesture for what it is. Otherwise, if we hurt those that just feel a need to give back.....without having an Agenda. Just sayin....

Reply100+ countries already use a BAC of .05, which the US is now looking to lower our BAC levels. Facts, your judgment and eyesight are impaired. Ex: 30yr old male at 180lbs would have to consume 4 Beers in 1 hour to reach .05 blood level and similarly, a 30yr old female at 130lbs would only have to drink 2 glasses of wine. The American Beverage Institute (Bars, Restaurants etc), calls the NTSB recommendation 'LUDICROUS' and "would criminalize perfectly responsible behavior."
The change in Europe was cut in HALF when they made the switch over from .08 to .05. When so many Americans see nothing wrong with such irresponsible behavior, I again, have no problem under protecting my safety, health and well-being to have checkpoints period. However, I think the best way to prove this is an additional way of protection with results...then an independent study would have to be conducted in order to prove its worthiness. Thank you for your comments.

On the article Politifact Rules False Palumbo Claim about Sex Offender Notification

Reply"shift the burden off of Cranston ... to the state" That's exactly it, along with SORNA providing $$$$ the State needs and a section about juveniles.
Dog on the lap was my request due to a safety issue and would have been better if when passage of the NO TEXTING there was a all inclusive bill being anything Distracting. I am not defending the merits of the Bill as they do not compare to Calamari (Stupid Bills: http://www.stupidlaws.com/laws/united-states/rhode_island/). Health, Safety and welfare of residents and animals is most important.
Palumbo has tried the illegal enforcement and he can't get the House to see the importance. Similarly he has been working on the SORNA Bill for years and this year the A.G.'s office is behind him. Sex Offender Advocates are popping up all over these days because there are so many of them getting out with hardly enough time served. It is they that twist the pendulum to have us believe they hardly re-offend. I have been watching this for years and spoken to C.O.'s and others that say they absolutely are repeat offenders. Keep trying though....it's just they way you all like to groom.
Palumbo's "I believe" statement was grossly off on the amounts, but the core of what he asserts is correct on SORNA being a huge asset.

Baywatch said it...both sides to fault. Parent rearing point is right on.
I hope you have someone running against Joe McNamara Ed. It's pretty sickening to testify in his committee and watch the way he treats everyone....intimidating and arrogant. We have far too many lawyers in there and because RI seems so small if you grew up here you it has become incestuous. There are few with an ulterior agenda.
I am for anyone that is not supportive of the current regime, inclusive of Gov. Gump and his yellow suited cronies.

Carolyn Mederios of Helen Glover Outrage says: "THANKS TO DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS REGULATIONS STUNT TO OVERRULE LIQUOR LICENSE BOARD SO BOTTLES OF "BOOZE" CAN BE SOLD AT TABLES IN CLUBS AND BARS..... USUALLY THE "VIP" TABLES PROVIDENCE NIGHT LIFE WILL TURN INTO AN EVEN MORE DANGEROUS PLACE TO ENGAGE IN NIGHT LIFE. SO LONG AS A WAITER OR WAITRESS IS POURING THE "BOOZE" FROM THE BOTTLE AT TABLE TO CUSTOMER.... "ALL IS GOOD". THERE IS A MEETING TONIGHT WITH BAR OWNERS WHO SUPPORT THIS AGENDA. THE CITY OF PROVIDENCE IS PLANNING TO APPEAL THE DECISION THAT HAS BEEN MADE. YOU CAN ALL QUOTE ME, " NO GOOD WILL COME OF THIS GREEDY MONEY MAKING SCHEME"..... IT WILL ATTRACT AN UNDESIRABLE CROWD WITH THE MONEY TO BUY THE LIQUOR YOU SEE IN THIS PHOTO WHICH IS EXTREMELY COSTLY..... WHO HAS MONEY TO SPEND LIKE THAT? GEE THAT ISN'T HARD TO FIGURE OUT.... DRUG DEALERS, AND GANGS. THE ACTIVITY FROM THESE BARS AND CLUBS EMPTYING AT THE END OF THE NIGHT WILL HAVE REPERCUSSIONS THROUGHOUT THE CITY. DO WE LEARN ANYTHING AT ALL?"
