re the Seldom Righthouse story that IWTG Farms are great in Europe. Natural Gas in Europe mostly comes from Russia and cost about 4X more than the USA. Even with such an economic advantage for WTG the margins were paper thin and already proven economically disastrous outcome. Then consider the transmission line / grid mismatch (a new & costly hybrid HV DC transmission line with distributed conversion to accommodate an AC mesh). Last historical reliability issues for IWTG both in Europe and even here in Pts RI. Socialist magical thinkikng and true believers cannot alter the facts. Now reduce the cost of natural gas to 1/.4 and it is an economic failure!

Rather lengthy fact based overview. Hopefully a component of your adult critical thinking processes vs a continued RI group think.

Citizens ALERT is their yet another bunko scam and crime in process at the RI General Assembly and possibly in NK?

The Deep water Wind true consumer cost is 24.4 cents per KWh + cost of conventional generator on stand by X 3.5% per year compounded. This makes the Rt 24 Bridge toll, Studio 38 loan & RI GA EDC East Bay Energy consortium pikers by comparison. Now add on the state & Federal supplemental support and sweet tax advantages and the tax payer & utility rate payer gets hit once again.
RI electrical rates are already some of the highest in the natiin due to the hidden social engineering wealth redistribution taxes buried with in the rate structure.

Today Denmark is trying to sell off its entire offshore wind venture rto utility companies and has no takers. All over Europe especially UK & Spain on shore and off shore wind has been a socialist finical failure.

Her in USA the political cult of true believers in and out of government has corrupted the political process plus science, engineering & business (sounds like a repeat of the dark ages all over again).
    This is madness.

Yes, New England has an energy distribution problem as it has been held hostage to both foreign & domestic supply lines that are not adequate.
OBTW we have not generated electrical power from oil for over 30 years + !

PS we still have the USN on Aquidneck Island marching forward with a plan to build an IWTG Farm on and or adjacent to a total of over ~20 encapsulated "stabilized" and or 21 still active super fund hazardous waste dump sites!

The two scary new bills being introduced at the State House: House Bill 5953, introduced by Reps. Carnevale, DeSimone, Ruggiero, Handy and O'Brien, along with Senate bill S-815 (which will be heard on April 24th) introduced by Sen. Louis DePalma. Keep voting for the above and similar RI GA socialist group think and you will see you utility rates (already the highest due to hidden wealth redistribution taxes et al) increase significantly. Industrial Wind Turbine farms raise the electrical rates and don not save you any money! Second the big lie is that it saves oil. We have not generates electrical Power from oil for about 35 years. Some of these birds are the same clowns, same ring master and same circus aka RI General Assembly that voted for the Rt 24 Bridge tolls and the RI GA EDC EBEC (another IWTG plunder still in progress. The political cult of green true believers continues to work over time at destroying what little economy we still have herein RI.

We can only conclude that these RI GA elected POLS are working for the Industrial Wind Turbine Generator Farm Industry. Second an enabler for a political cult of true believers with a destructive agenda for the citizens of RI. Many of these same individuals have enabled the Rt 24 bride tolls and even the monster RI GA EBEC & Deep water wind. all PROJECTS THAT LOOT THE TAX PAYER AND FEED AN EVEN LARGER MORE COSTLY GOVERNMENT THAT ENABLES A PSEUDO SOCIALIST MAGICAL THINKING. As in the middle ages / dark ages most commerce, science, engineering & and the arts was corrupted such that a breakdown in society resulted in great pain for all. ..We must remove all such group think from elected office before correction can be realized.

Same clowns, same circus same ring master! I agree that any and all on watch when this latest series of assaults on the legal citizen tax payers took place, must be removed from any further association with public service in any way shape or form.. Including; the RI GA committee where RI state Senator Lou Dipalma was a member looking for ways to increase the revenue stream to the general fund under the guise of roads & bridge maintenance et al.

Then we have the RI GA EDC EBEC assembled with an apparent attempt to loot both the taxpayers and utility payer via Industrial Wind Turbine Farms all across the state with the power of emanate domain.
Then we have Deep WATER Wind where 24 cents per KW + the 6 cents per KW wholesale paid to conventional sources. With a companion hidden wealth redistribution tax / fee/ ripoff. Last, the 3.5% increase per year during the life of the project.

The latest joke in process is the consolidation of services committee with many of the same characters on board e.g. RI State Senator Lou Dipalma , union Bosses and State bureaucrats looking for ways to reduce cost while keeping their closed shop and plunder in place. Only a paradigm shift can eliminate many of the over paid and unnecessary employees and or direct beneficiaries of the revenue stream leakage (tax payer monies) here in RI. We have actually assigned many of those taking our money - taxes and keeping our public services costly, non efficient and of questionable quality!

aka Obama had a Hollywood rich party at the White House the other night.
    No expense spared top shelf.
Now as for the citizens no tours and no Military day air shows et al.
Now why one if more doable and justified as compared to the other?

Or is it the same message as in the tail of two cities all over again and aka Obama must have decided to let them eat cake?

Richard Henry Lee, the initiator of the Declaration of Independence and a member of the Senate that passed the Bill of Rights, wrote: “To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike especially when young, how to use them.”
Again, Alexander Hamilton wrote in the Federalist Papers: “The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.”
Again, Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter quoted frequently by leftists of the 1960s and 1970s: “And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. … The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
Patrick Henry said: “Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.”
