Trash and Christmas Tree Collection Delays Due to Snowstorm

There will be no trash, recycling and Christmas tree (including yard waste) collection in Middletown on Wednesday, Jan. 22 due to the snow storm.

Trash, recycling and Christmas tree collections for this week were already delayed by one day due to the Martin Luther King Day holiday on Monday. Waste Management will not operate on Wednesday, Jan. 22, therefore, routes will be as follows:

• Regular Tuesday collection/delayed day of Wednesday will be collected on Thursday, January 23 (two day delay).
• Regular Wednesday collection/delayed day of Thursday will be collected on Friday, January 24 (two day delay).
• Regular Thursday collection/delayed day of Friday, January 3, will be collected on Saturday, January 25 (two day delay).
• Regular Friday collection/delayed day of Saturday, January 4, will be collected on Monday, January 27.

Next week’s collection (January 27 through Friday, January 31) will be delayed by one day, as if there was a Monday holiday. Collection that would normally take place on Monday, January 27 will be picked up on Tuesday, January 28, and so on for the remainder of the week.

Once the storm has past be sure your Christmas tree is not covered in the snow to insure it will be collected. Waste Management will allow Christmas trees to be dropped off at their Newport transfer station at no cost with a photo ID & utility bill.
